London Olympic gold medalist and reigning world champion Kohei Uchimura became the first man to win seven individual all-around national championship titles in succession Sunday.
Uchimura scored a total of 181.200 points at Yoyogi National Stadium, beating second-placed Shogo Nonomura. Ryohei Kato was third at the meet serving as a second-round selection qualifier for the world championships in China in October.
