Kenzo Shirai, the 17-year-old floor exercise world champion, once more upstaged all-around ace Kohei Uchimura in that event on Saturday at the 2013 Toyota International meet.
Shirai nailed his signature "Shirai" and "Shirai 2" maneuvers en route to a score of 16.325 points. The moves were named after the high schooler after his performance at this year's world championships in Antwerp, Belgium, where he became the first to execute them.
The Shirai is a backward somersault with a quadruple twist layout, while the Shirai 2 is a forward somersault with a triple twist layout and a difficulty level of F.
Uchimura, who has won four straight all-around world championships and is the defending Olympic all-around champ, was second with 15.500.
World pommel horse champion Kohei Kameyama won the event with 15.300 points, while Ryohei Kato was second.
