Shinji Kagawa is believed to have suffered breathing difficulties on Wednesday night after Manchester United's 1-0 loss to Everton, the Sun reported Friday.

According to the newspaper, worried neighbors are believed to have called emergency services to Kagawa's home. On Thursday, an ambulance spokesman was quoted as saying, "We arrived at the scene within seven minutes to treat a person for breathing difficulties."

The Sun quoted a club source that said Kagawa, who played just 58 minutes in the defeat at Old Trafford, has recovered. The report also said that the Japanese midfielder did not require hospital treatment.

"He had a bit of a turn but he's OK now," the source said.

Manchester United could not be immediately reached for comment.
