J-League champions Sanfrecce Hiroshima squeezed into the third round of the Emperor's Cup, but Nagoya Grampus were the victims of Sunday's biggest upset.

Kazuhiko Chiba's 12th-minute goal was enough to keep Hiroshima in the tournament with a 1-0 win over Fukuoka University.

But Grampus fell at the first hurdle after goals from Yuki Sato and Kazuki Arinaga sentenced Dragan Stojkovic's side to a shock 2-0 defeat to non-league Nagano Parceiro.

Nagoya were the only top-flight casualties in Sunday's games, as Cerezo Osaka, Oita Trinita, Sagan Tosu and Shonan Bellmare all safely secured their passage into the next round.

Kenyu Sugimoto's hat-trick powered Cerezo Osaka to a 4-0 win over Kansai University, Kosuke Taketomi grabbed a treble as Shonan Bellmare thumped FC Ryukyu 4-0, former Gamba Osaka striker Ryuji Bando wrapped up a 10-0 win for Sagan Tosu against Saga University, while Oita Trinita beat HOYO Oita 2-0 courtesy of a double from Yasuhito Morishima.
