The Pacific League's Orix Buffaloes will likely be without 2010 home run champion Takahiro Okada for the remainder of the season, sources said Saturday.

The left-handed-hitting Okada has been on the farm team suffering from a ligament injury on the middle finger of his right hand. The 25-year-old is batting .222 this season with three home runs in 55 games.

Meanwhile, right-handed reliever Mamoru Kishida has been unable to resume throwing since hurting the arch of his right foot in an Aug. 13 game against Nippon Ham and appears unlikely to return this season. The 32-year-old former closer is 3-2 with a 2.12 ERA in 37 games this season.
