London Olympic bronze medalist Japan downed host Poland in straight sets to extend its unbeaten streak to six at the Women's Volleyball Grand Prix on Sunday.

Yukiko Ebata had a game-high 19 points and captain Saori Kimura led the attack with her strong serves, banging out 15. Risa Shinnabe followed with 13 as Japan won 25-19, 26-24, 25-15 in Pool H action at Orlen Arena.

"Even though we were playing away, we wanted to try to win six straight by any means necessary," said coach Masayoshi Manabe. "Our serves were great; Kimura's serves were especially effective today."
