The J. League said Wednesday it will organize a June charity match benefiting the victims of the March 11, 2011, earthquake and tsunami.

Former Italy star Alessandro del Piero appeared in last year's game at Kashima Stadium. This year, the match will be staged at Tokyo's National Stadium on June 16.

Kashima manager Toninho Cerezo will coach one team made up of players from Antlers and Vegalta Sendai as well as those native to the disaster areas. The other will be a side selected from the rest of the league managed by Sanfrecce Hiroshima's Hajime Moriyasu.

Fans will be able to vote for their favorite players online until May 27.
