South Korea's Olympic figure skating champion Kim Yu Na marked her return to the rink in style by winning the NRW Trophy with the season's best score on Sunday.

The 22-year-old Kim, back in competition after a 20-month absence, scored 129.34 points in the free program and had a total of 201.61.

She had bettered Mao Asada's highest short program score of the season in the second-tier competition with 72.27 on Saturday.

"This was my first performance so I was a little worried about a few technical aspects," said Kim. "I started practice in September and have been training so I have more than enough physical strength."
