TOYAMA – Jeon Mi Jeong held on to her lead from the opening round to win the Nichi-Iko Ladies Open by one stroke on Sunday.
The JLPGA money leader carded a 71 after two birdies and a bogey for a three-day total of 8-under 208 at Yatsuo Country Club, holding off Erina Hara for the ¥10.8 million victory.
“I thought it would be difficult with the bad weather, but I just tried to enjoy it as much as I could,” Jeon said. “I’ve become confident in my shots now, and my game doesn’t fall apart like it used to.”
“If I keep finishing strong at tournaments, the money title will be there for me in the end,” she said.
