Japanese starlet Rie Tanaka has been named to represent the host country at the upcoming world gymnastics championships along with her older brother Kazuhito and younger brother Yusuke, the Japan Gymnastics Association said Sunday.

The association announced a squad of six women — Tanaka, Koko Tsurumi, Yumi Iizuka, Yu Minobe, Yuko Shintake and Asuka Teramoto — for the Oct. 7-16 meet at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium. Kyoko Oshima, who has appeared in the last seven world championships, has been selected as a reserve.

The Tanaka brothers have already booked their places in the event after meeting the selection requirements for men's competition.

Japan will have three siblings together on its national team for the first time ever at the gymnastics worlds.
