TENDO, YAMAGATA PREF. – Former Asian champions Urawa Reds continued to loiter around the relegation zone as Zeljko Petrovic’s side was held to a 0-0 draw at Montedio Yamagata in the J. League on Wednesday night.
Reds remained unbeaten for a fourth straight game but allowed 16th-place Ventforet Kofu to pull level on points at 14 after the Yamanashi minnows won 2-1 away to Albirex Niigata thanks to Katsuya Ishihara’s 71st-minute winner.
