Nobuo Nashiro is ready to pull out all the stops to wrest back the WBC super flyweight belt from Tomas Rojas when he takes on the Mexican champion in Osaka on Saturday.

"I have to seize this chance any way I can and make sure I win the title," Nashiro told a news conference on Thursday.

"I want to win for both my family and myself," added the 29-year-old, who became a father for the first time with the birth of a daughter last month.

Nashiro lost a unanimous decision to Mexican challenger Hugo Cazares in May last year, failing in his third attempt to defend the title.

Rojas, 30, who was crowned champion after beating Kohei Kono in Saitama in September, was in a relaxed mood ahead of the fight.

"I'm trying to not really think about anything," said Rojas. "I have prepared well and hopefully I will be able to win by a knockout by the sixth round."
