OSAKA (Kyodo) Brazilian striker Lucas is to leave Gamba Osaka when his current deal expires at the end of this season, the J. League first-division club said Wednesday.

The 31-year-old forward joined Gamba from FC Tokyo in 2008 and played a pivotal role in Gamba's two-leg victory over Australia's Adelaide United the same year in the Asian Champions League final.

Lucas, who hit three goals in Gamba's 5-0 aggregate 2008 ACL win, has scored 68 times in 198 appearances in the J. League top flight.
