World Cup coach Takeshi Okada has landed a new job — a Spanish League commentator for Japanese satellite channel WOWOW.
"I'll try to draw on my various experiences and commentate straightforwardly," Okada told a news conference Tuesday as he was introduced by WOWOW Inc.
While predicting a title race between Barcelona and Real Madrid, Okada said, "In three words, I can sum up the Spanish League: strong, hard and beautiful. And I see the league's emphasis on the beauty."
Okada also revealed that he turned down official and unofficial offers from European and Middle Eastern clubs after steering Japan to the second round of the World Cup finals in South Africa.
