A late strike from substitute Yohei Otake kept holders FC Tokyo on course for a place in the Nabisco Cup quarterfinals after a 1-0 win over in-form Albirex Niigata on Saturday.

Otake drove home a pass from Naotake Hanyu in the fourth minute of second-half injury time at Komazawa Stadium to preserve Tokyo’s unbeaten start in Group A, while Urawa Reds also improved to seven points in Group B after a 2-1 win away to Shonan Bellmare.
