Japan international Kengo Nakamura is set to be sidelined for up to eight weeks after suffering a broken jaw in Kawasaki Frontale's 2-0 defeat away to Seongnam Ilhwa in their Group E opener in the Asian Champions League, Kawasaki said Wednesday.

The 29-year-old midfielder, who sustained the injury in a clash with an opponent in the second half of Tuesday's match in South Korea, underwent tests at a Yokohama hospital Wednesday and was told he will need between six to eight weeks to make a full recovery.
