AMSTERDAM (Kyodo) Japan international midfielder Keisuke Honda has completed his move from Dutch first division club VVV Venlo to CSKA Moscow, Venlo said on its official Web site on Thursday. Honda has signed a four-year deal at CSKA.

"We are sad to see Keisuke Honda leave, but this transfer will be for the good of the club in the long term. VVV are satisfied with the transfer fee," Venlo chairman Hai Berden told the club's website.

Honda joined Venlo from Nagoya Grampus in January 2008 and quickly established himself, scoring 16 goals to help the club win promotion to the top flight.

The 23-year-old started all 18 league games played so far this season, scoring six times.

CSKA have advanced to the knockout round of the European Champions League.
