Daiki Kameda warmed up for his WBA flyweight title bout against Thai champion Denkaosen Kaowichit on Oct. 6 by knocking out Jose Alberto Cuadros in a 10-rounder Sunday.

Kameda floored his Mexican opponent with a left-right combination 30 seconds into the fourth round at Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium.

"My cornerman told me to throw punches more aggressively when I was taking precautions. I'm glad I finished him off there," said the 20-year-old Kameda.

The second eldest of the three Kameda brothers is getting his second crack at a world title following a unanimous decision loss to countryman and WBC flyweight champion Daisuke Naito in October 2007.

Kameda served a one-year suspension from the ring after repeatedly resorting to underhand tactics in the bout against Naito.

"In the title match, I want to show new parts of my boxing," Kameda said. "Hopefully, I can win by knockout."
