Tomoaki Kanemoto hit a tiebreaking single and Tsuyoshi Shimoyanagi allowed one unearned run in six innings, leading the Hanshin Tigers to a 3-1 win over the Yomiuri Giants on Sunday.
The 41-year-old Kanemoto put Hanshin up 2-1 in the fifth inning when he delivered a two-out RBI single to center off Hisanori Takahashi (5-6) at Koshien Stadium.
"I got that hit with all my heart. I was stimulated by Shimoyanagi's great effort on the mound," Kanemoto said.
