UTRECHT, Netherlands (Kyodo) Keisuke Honda's sizzling start to the season continued Sunday as he hit the target for the third game in a row and created his side's other goal to help earn VVV Venlo a 2-2 draw away to Utrecht in the Dutch first division.

Honda set up Sandro Calabro to fire the visitors in front after three minutes but Utrecht hit back to lead 2-1 courtesy of a Dries Mertens' brace.

However, Honda came to the rescue when he uncorked a screamer from 30 meters for his fourth goal of the season to level 12 minutes from time.

"It's the first time I have scored three games in a row. I thought it would be a big chance for me to do that after scoring in the first two games and my appetite for another goal was insatiable," said Honda.
