Japan's WBC super bantamweight champion Toshiaki Nishioka and WBA super featherweight title holder Jorge Linares of Venezuela will both defend their crowns against Mexican opponents in a world doubleheader in Tokyo this fall, it was announced Tuesday.

Nishioka will take on sixth-ranked Ivan Hernandez while seventh-ranked Juan Carlos Salgado has been lined up to take on Linares on Oct. 10 at Yoyogi National Gymnasium Annex.

Nishioka retained his belt for the second time in May when he stopped Mexican challenger Jhonny Gonzalez in the third round in Monterrey, Mexico, becoming only the second Japanese fighter to defend a title on foreign soil since Jiro Watanabe did so in 1985.

Linares will be making his second defense of the WBA crown.
