Upset by poor pitch conditions, Japan Football Association chief Motoaki Inukai has concluded that Kyushu Oil Dome in Oita cannot be used for the national team's October friendly against Togo.

"We don't want players to get injured before the World Cup finals. That's the biggest reason for changing the venue," Inukai said Friday. The JFA announced a month earlier that the friendly will be held at Kyushu Oil Dome on Oct. 14.

The JFA has listed Miyagi Stadium as the top candidate for the match venue and plans to make a final decision early next week.
