SAITAMA (Kyodo) Urawa Reds stayed on course for a place in the quarterfinals of the Nabisco Cup with a 1-0 win over Jubilo Iwata on Wednesday at Komaba Stadium.

The Reds have 10 points from five games, two ahead of Yokohama F Marinos. Goals from Shingo Hyodo, Kazuma Watanabe and Yusuke Tanaka gave Yokohama a 3-0 win over Albirex Niigata.

Cup holders Oita Trinita drew 2-2 at home to Sanfrecce Hiroshima thanks to a late equalizer from Brazilian journeyman Ueslei in the other Group A game.

In Group B, Cabore struck twice as leaders FC Tokyo came from a goal down to beat Montedio Yamagata 3-1 at National Stadium in Tokyo and Shimizu S-Pulse moved into second after Akihiro Hyodo's late goal earned them a 2-1 win at home to two-time Nabisco Cup winners JEF United Chiba.

Veteran forward Hideaki Kitajima bagged a double in Kashiwa Reysol's 3-0 win over visiting Vissel Kobe. Bottom of the group with one point, idle Kyoto Sanga can progress no further in the competition.
