Kameda wins nontitle bout

Former WBA light flyweight champion Koki Kameda won a unanimous decision over Rexon Flores of the Philippines in a nontitle match Saturday in his comeback to the ring after almost eight months. Kameda, the top contender in the WBA flyweight rankings, sent the 13th-ranked light flyweight boxer Flores to the canvas with a hard left in the first round, but was unable to finish off his opponent as his means of attack grew more predictable as the bout wore on.
