The Kashima Antlers have left former Japan internationals Yasuto Honda and Akira Narahashi out of their plans for next season and will not renew their contracts, the J. League first division club said Wednesday.

Kashima has also ditched Brazilian duo Alex Mineiro and Fernando along with the two Japanese veterans, who were instrumental in the Ibaraki club's generally successful league campaigns over the past decade.

Midfielder Honda, 37, has spent his entire J. League career with Kashima, making 328 league appearances and winning 31 caps for Japan.

Narahashi, a 35-year-old defender, has played in 310 league matches for Bellmare Hiratsuka and Kashima.
