Daiki Ito nailed a pair of solid jumps to complete a winning double with his first victory at the Sapporo Mayor’s Cup summer jump on Saturday.

The 19-year-old Ito, Japan’s top ski jumper on the World Cup circuit last season, had leaps of 129 and 127.5 meters at the K-120 Okurayama hill, adding to his victory 24 hours earlier at the UHB Cup with a winning total of 262.2 points.

Yusuke Kaneko took second place with Kentaro Shigematsu, who had the day’s longest jump of 130.5 meters, following in third place.

Veteran Masahiko Harada was 10th while Nordic combined skier Daito Takahashi, who won last year’s UHB Cup, was 14th.
