Japan's Hiroshi Yamamoto shot down reigning world champion Michele Frangilli of Italy to advance to the third round of the men's individual archery competition at the Athens Games on Tuesday.

The 41-year-old five-time Olympian made a dream start when he scored a 10-pointer with his first arrow in the first end and went on to outscore the two-time Olympic team medalist in five out of the six rounds for a stunning 162-154 victory.
