Shinnosuke Abe drove in a pair of runs with a single in the bottom of the eighth inning Wednesday to lift the Yomiuri Giants to a 5-3 win over the Hiroshima Carp.
Abe's single to center at Fukuoka Dome allowed a pair of runs to cross the plate as the Giants snapped a three-game losing streak.
Yoshinobu Takahashi also drove in a run with a single to left as the Giants scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth.
