Japan's Hideyasu Ishihara will challenge World Boxing Association super flyweight champion Alexander Munoz in a world title fight this summer, boxing sources said Monday.

Eighth-ranked Ishihara will get his first crack at a world title when he aims to dethrone Venezuelan Munoz at Gifu Memorial Center on May 16. Ishihara, 28, has won 15 of his 18 bouts, including 11 knockouts, against two losses and a draw while Munoz, also 28, has won all 25 of his bouts with 24 knockouts.
