Keita Umezaki nailed solid leaps of 96 and 92.5 meters to secure victory at the Snow Brand Cup ski jumping competition in Sapporo on Sunday.

The Meiji University student won the annual event after collecting a total of 244 points on the K-90 Miyanomori hill to edge Kazuya Yoshioka, who took second with 243.5 points after jumping 94 and 91 meters.

Veteran Masahiko Harada posted the day's longest jump of 97 meters on his first attempt but only managed to follow up with an 89-meter effort and had to settle for third on 237 points.
