“As it stands now, no. There is increasing competition for places in midfield . . . we probably would not sign him now,” Spurs caretaker manager David Pleat was quoted by the Nikkan Sports.
Toda made just four first-team appearances last season after joining Spurs on a one-year contract from J. League club Shimizu S-Pulse.
