NAGOYA – Japan super bantamweight fighter Kozo Ishii, who was defeated by World Boxing Council champion Oscar Larios of Mexico on a technical knockout Sunday, will retire from boxing, sources said Monday.
Ishii was attempting his third title bout but was stopped in the second round at Nagoya Sports Complex in Larios’ fourth defense of the title.
