Seibu slugger Alex Cabrera belted his 30th homer of the year for the go-ahead run in the sixth inning as the Lions edged the Orix BlueWave 2-1 at Seibu Dome on Monday.
With the game tied at 1-1, Cabrera smashed a solo homer off Orix lefty Masahiko Kaneda into the center-field bleachers to lead off the sixth. He is tied with Kintetsu's Tuffy Rhodes for the PL home run lead.
Kaneda (4-5) held the Lions to two runs on six hits over 5 1/3 innings in a losing effort.
