Daiei rookie Nagisa Arakaki went the distance, allowing one earned run while striking out 12 batters for the win as the Hawwks downed the Orix BlueWave 8-2 at Fukuoka Dome on Monday.
Arakaki (5-7) gave up six hits and walked four in going the on 160 pitches in his 13th outing this season.
With Orix up 2-0 in the third, Daiei cut the lead to one with Kenji Jojima's RBI double before Jojima singed home a run in the fifth to tie the game.
