Kashima Antlers and Japan striker Atsushi Yanagisawa has joined Italian Serie A-bound club Sampdoria on a one-year loan deal, Italian news agency ANSA reported Friday.
According to the report, Sampdoria has paid Kashima $350,000 with the option of a full transfer for the 26-year-old forward, who will receive an annual salary of $450,000.
Yanagisawa has scored nine goals in 31 internationals, and netted 70 times in 177 J. League appearances for Kashima.
