KOBE – Yuri Fudo, Japan’s top female golfer for the past three seasons, will miss this week’s Promise Ladies golf tournament due to a broken finger, golf sources said Wednesday.
Fudo, who kicked off her bid to become money rankings queen for the fourth straight year with a win at the season-opening Daikin Orchid Ladies last month, broke the little finger on her right hand after she closed a car door on it on Sunday.
The 60 million yen Promise Ladies gets under way at Water Hills Golf Club in Hyogo Prefecture on Friday.
