Takeshi Matsuda rewrote the Japanese short course record in the men’s 200 meters butterfly final at the JOC Junior Olympic Cup spring meet Sunday.

Matsuda set a new Japanese mark of 1 minute, 54.10 seconds, slicing 0.03 second off his personal best time, on the final day of the meet at Tokyo Tatsumi International Swimming Center.
