The Daiei Hawks and the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association signed a contract to stage three exhibition games in Taiwan between the Pacific League club and the Taiwan national team in November, baseball officials said Monday.

Daiei, which held two games against the Orix BlueWave in Taipei last year for the first time ever in Japanese baseball history, is scheduled to play in the southern port city of Kaohsiung on Nov. 14-15 and in Taipei on Nov. 16.

HIROSHIMA (Kyodo) The Hiroshima Carp have agreed to a deal with Baltimore Orioles right-hander Chris Brock for the upcoming season, officials of the Central League club said Monday.

Brock has compiled 18 wins, 17 losses and a save for a 4.81 ERA in 148 games over his major league career.
