Yasuharu Imano closed with a 6-under-par 66 on Sunday to win the NST Niigata Open and pick up his first title victory in nearly two years.

Imano put a nightmare 18 months behind him, picking up the third title of his career after seven birdies against a sole bogey to finish on an 18-under total of 270, four strokes clear of second-placed Katsumasa Miyamoto.

Australian Craig Jones fell away after a good start and ended with a 69 to finish joint third on 13-under 275 along with Daisuke Maruyama, who tied the day's best round of 66, and former winner Kazuhiko Hosokawa (71).
