American Dean Wilson shot a 2-under-par 69 Saturday to jump to the top of the leaderboard heading into the final round of the Tsuruya Open.

Wilson made three birdies against a lone bogey at Sports Shinko Country Club in Hyogo Prefecture to move to an 8-under total of 205, two strokes clear of a quartet of golfers including overnight leader Hiroyuki Fujita.

Teeing off three shots off the pace, Wilson, who won three of his four career titles on the Japanese circuit last season, birdied twice on a bogey-free front nine and, after blotting his scorecard at No. 11, closed with a five-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole.
