Regarding the Oct. 7 letter "Radioactive debris to Senkakus," I believe this opinion is unreasonable and unacceptable. First,we should not bring the radioactive debris of Fukushima to the Senkaku islands. The islands and the surrounding ocean would be contaminated with radioactive waste. This would mean that Japan contributed to ocean pollution and would invite criticism from the rest of the world.

Second, such an immoral action on the part of Japan would worsen the relationship between Japan and China further. Japan should behave prudently so as to not aggravate the relationship between the two countries.

The opinions expressed in this letter to the editor are the writer's own and do not necessarily reflect the policies of The Japan Times.
