It is a disgrace that Japan's Foreign Ministry is using celebrity "kawaii ambassadors" to introduce Japanese pop culture to young people overseas. Young adults dressed in "very short skirts" not only legitimize this provocative mode of dress but also promote immorality as a Japanese export. Young girls who follow this fashion are unwittingly making themselves targets for would-be rapists and purveyors of pornography. The Japanese government loses authority and dignity by associating itself with this low-culture promotion introduced by manga-freak Prime Minister Taro Aso when he was foreign minister. Japan makes itself the laughingstock of the world by supporting such ridiculous campaigns as this.
