A Vietnamese man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of killing a colleague near their apartment in Nagoya.

Nguyen Van Duc, 21, is suspected of stabbing Duong Van Chien, 30, his Vietnamese roommate, in the neck with a knife on the grounds of the apartment Saturday night, local police said.

The suspect has admitted to the allegations, the police said.

A man who drove the two home after a dinner with others on Saturday night called the police around 10:30 p.m. after finding the victim bleeding from the neck.

The victim died of blood loss four hours after arriving at a hospital.
