McDonald's Co. (Japan) has decked out an outlet in Tokyo's Odaiba district to make it look like a hamburger shop that appears in the megahit "Yokai Watch" anime and game series.

The special decor, which will remain in place until Nov. 11, features scores of illustrations of characters from the series placed on every surface, including tables, bathroom walls and trash receptacles. Footprints of monster characters even run along the floor.

Hamburgers duplicating those sold in the mogmog Burgers shop in the series are served in packaging that also features illustrations of the main characters.

Nanae Yamaki, 35, and her 4-year-old daughter Haruna, of Ota Ward, Tokyo, who participated in a special launch event Wednesday said they liked the characters printed on the walls.

The shop also began accepting advance orders for "Yokai Watch" calendars that will be sold starting Nov. 7. A limited number of the calendar will be available, but McDonald's would not say how many.
