Taiwan's first lady, Chow Mei-ching, will visit Japan next week for a trip she postponed last month after posters and other promotional materials prepared by the Japanese side omitted the word "national" in referring to a rare exhibit by Taiwan's National Palace Museum, the Tokyo National Museum said Monday.

Feng Ming-chu, director of the Taiwan museum, told a news conference in Taipei that Chow will attend special exhibits and cultural activities in Tokyo on Sunday and Monday.

It will be her first visit to Japan as first lady.
