With the last corpse found early Tuesday, all five road construction workers buried in a landslide in Yurihonjo, Akita Prefecture, have been confirmed dead, police said.

The five were apparently on a break when a roadside slope collapsed and engulfed them Thursday afternoon, the Akita Prefectural Police said.

Police officers found Koichi Sugano, 57, early Tuesday, and he was confirmed dead at a hospital.

The four others are Makoto Sato, 65, Hirokazu Sugano, 35, Tamie Obata, 62, and Yuki Kobayashi, 22. They were all found dead as of Monday.

Kobayashi was from the city of Akita, while the other four were all from Yurihonjo.
