The chairman and other executives of Keidanren plan to tour the battered Fukushima No. 1 power plant, the influential business lobby said Monday.

The corporate executives are making the trip so the group, also called the Japan Business Federation, can make policy recommendations to the government for decommissioning the damaged nuclear reactors and using atomic energy.

Chairman Hiromasa Yonekura and other executives will visit the plant's main earthquake-proof building and other facilities, the group said.
