Taiwan's China Airlines aims to operate daily round-trip flights between Taipei and Toyama starting in 2016, the carrier's chairman said.
"We will do our best to operate daily flights between the two cities as soon as possible," Sun Huang-hsiang said at a news conference Monday in the city of Toyama.
Sun is visiting Japan as the airline increases the number of its Taipei-Toyama round-trip flights from two to four a week starting this week, one year after it launched the service.
"Toyama is a new market and has great potential," Sun said. "We are on a mission to succeed on this route."
