Thousands of homes in parts of Yokohama and the Tokyo suburb of Machida were hit by a power outage just past midnight Monday, affecting up to around 57,000 households at one point, Tokyo Electric Power Co. said.
Tepco said it is investigating what caused the outage, which started around 12:14 a.m. Tuesday, in Aoba and Midori wards in Yokohama and in neighboring Machida. Power was back in all households by 3 a.m., the company said.
