Keidanren eyes wider East Asia ties

A group of business leaders from Nippon Keidanren began a four-day visit to China on Sunday as a trilateral business summit involving their counterparts from China and South Korea kicked off.

In a joint statement after the gathering Sunday, business leaders from the three countries were expected to agree to seek stronger business ties in East Asia, officials of the business lobby said.

The group, headed by Keidanren Chairman Hiromasa Yonekura, also includes Fumiaki Watari, an adviser at JX Holdings Inc., and Yoji Ohashi, chairman of All Nippon Airways Co.
